Transforming lives one renovation at a time.

We work with homeowners who have outgrown their homes but still love them and don’t want to move. Construction delays, surprises, and price creeps are eliminated with our extremely detailed pre-construction planning process. Our clients choose us because they value craftsmanship, (extreme) attention to detail, and punctuality.

When you and your home are ready for an upgrade, we're the Renovator You Can Count On™. It's our promise. Have a look around our website, or Google us, or view our Houzz profile, and see for yourself!

When you’re ready, tell us what’s not working with your home and let’s have a conversation about helping you change it!

Our humble beginnings

Our origin story is a humble one, and likely one you’ve not heard before. It tells much about the culture of our company and our approach to renovations that you see alive in our company today.

Not long after arriving in Canada on a one-year work visa from Belarus in 1996, our founder Andrei Sosnovsky found himself needing a little extra income to pay the bills. When the students he came here to teach Sambo (a form of Russian Martial Arts) began quitting because of the strict discipline the practice would require of them; and without another immediate go-to income source (Andrei was trained as a lawyer back home in Belarus, but credentials here would take time to acquire) he did what any enterprising, hardworking and starving young man would do! Andrei took a job in construction. At the time, he never imagined owning a renovation business.

Now, after more than 20 years in the renovation industry, Andrei sits humbly at the helm of a successful (and growing) residential renovation company called SOSNA Inc. While he may not practice Sambo regularly these days, it’s not hard to find the strict discipline of the practice as the backbone of the SOSNA process.

We’re not for everyone.

It’s better for us all to know this sooner, rather than later. But just so you’re sure, have a look at the reasons we’ve listed below for why you may NOT want to work with us.

We are not the cheapest renovator you will find for your renovation.

There are many who could give you a cheaper price, especially in the beginning. Our price includes every little detail and will not increase during your renovation. If you have a flexible budget and are ok with price creeps during construction, then we probably aren’t for you.

We cannot start your renovation tomorrow. We are typically booked at least 3-4 months in advance

We don’t just swing hammers.

We will design your renovation right down to the last detail before we begin to build it. We will not bring our hammers into your house until you know exactly what we are doing, how we are doing it, what materials we will use, how everything will look at the end, and how long it will all take. If you don’t appreciate meticulous detail, and if it’s not important for you to coordinate all your finishes before construction begins, right down to the style of your door knobs, then we probably aren’t for you.

We do everything or nothing.

We will not do your renovation if you ask us to work with your cabinet maker, electrician or other trade supplier. If you want us to work with your friend’s sister’s father-in-law, then we probably aren’t for you.

If any of the following are true:

If you think we’re the Renovator for you (or could be)
