Finding the right fit. Right from the start.
Because we’ve renovated hundreds of spaces of every imaginable style, description and budget, we know that families who get the most out of Renovating The Sosna Way™ have the following in common:
- They renovate to stay in their home, not to sell it (if you’re planning to flip your home or move in the next few years, you just won’t appreciate our approach)
- They have a strict deadline for completion of their renovation (baby on the way, out-of-town guests arriving, renting a house during the renovation)
- They have a fixed budget (and we mean fixed, as in no room for surprises)
- There is a complex renovation problem to solve
- They have had a less-than-desirable experience with a renovation in the past
- They can get easily overwhelmed or confused with all the choices to make and options to review
- They are super busy organizing their family or running their business and don’t want to be the reason for a delay in their renovation or regret what they selected after installation
I promised to take care of this 10 years ago – now my wife has given me an ultimatum: Get it done or we’re moving. Frankly, I don’t want to move.
I’ve waited for my dream kitchen long enough. We either renovate or divorce!
We haven’t used our living room in 20 years. Our entryway is cramped. And I don’t like that our guests are all crowded in the kitchen while I’m cooking. We need better use of our main floor space.
We’re at home more than we used to be so we need dedicated work areas, a gym, and space for entertaining.
We have teenagers in the house now. We all need more privacy.

We’re not for everyone.
It’s better for us all to know this sooner, rather than later. But just so you’re sure, have a look at the reasons we’ve listed below for why you may NOT want to work with us.
We are not the cheapest renovator you will find for your renovation.
There are many who could give you a cheaper price, especially in the beginning. Our price includes every little detail and will not increase during your renovation. If you have a flexible budget and are ok with price creeps during construction, then we probably aren’t for you.
We cannot start your renovation tomorrow. We are typically booked at least 3-4 months in advance

We don’t just swing hammers.
We will design your renovation right down to the last detail before we begin to build it. We will not bring our hammers into your house until you know exactly what we are doing, how we are doing it, what materials we will use, how everything will look at the end, and how long it will all take. If you don’t appreciate meticulous detail, and if it’s not important for you to coordinate all your finishes before construction begins, right down to the style of your door knobs, then we probably aren’t for you.
We do everything or nothing.
We will not do your renovation if you ask us to work with your cabinet maker, electrician or other trade supplier. If you want us to work with your friend’s sister’s father-in-law, then we probably aren’t for you.
If any of the following are true:
- You are renovating to sell
- You are planning to move in the next 5 years
- You do not require design services or
- You are outside of our service area (please see our Service Map above for details)
