Join Our Award-Winning Design Team as a Renovation Designer!

This is a great opportunity to join an award-winning team that helps GTA homeowners fall back in love with their dated homes. You will be able to see your designs come to life and how they affect homeowner’s lives.  Working hours are flexible from home or our office in Vaughan.

Wages are $60,000 to 80,000 per year depending on your qualifications. You will get reimbursed for the gas and travel expenses. Vehicle allowance is offered. Outstanding work is rewarded with bonuses.

Mission:

  1. To accurately design renovation projects to ensure client satisfaction and company profitability
  2. To help clients make the right decisions during design process
  3. To be a good team player helping our company improve and grow

 Outcomes:

  1. Design 8-12 projects per year (average size $200,000/each)
  2. Support our Production team to ensure successful completion of projects

 Competencies

  1. Be a graduate of a Design College in Canada
  2. Have at least 3 years of experience designing residential renovation projects in Canada
  3. Be extremely detailed & punctual
  4. Be able to constructively communicate with clients & tradespeople
  5. Possess excellent written and spoken English skills
  6. Be able to travel to job sites across the GTA.
  7. Have customer minded mentality
  8. Have great questioning and listening skills
  9. Be able and willing to learn new things
  10. Be honest
  11. Be able to admit mistakes and learn from them
  12. Be a good team player, always willing to help even outside of your responsibilities
  13. Be committed to going above and beyond to perform high-quality work and adhere to strict deadlines

 Responsibilities:

  1. Meet with clients and provide customized design solutions
  2. Measure existing spaces and create elevations, details, 2D & 3D renderings
  3. Assist clients with a selection of materials and tour our supplier’s showrooms with them as necessary
  4. Collect quotes from vendors
  5. Order, purchase, and schedule deliveries of fixtures & finishes
  6. Conduct site inspections during construction
  7. Attend job site meetings and assist Production Team (Electricians, HAVC, Tile setters, etc) with correct placement of rough-ins and fixtures.
  8. Cultivate good relationships with trade contractors and suppliers and seek out new providers.
  9. Demonstrate open, honest, timely, and clear communication.
  10. Participate in all company and marketing events

Upfront Material & Fixture Selection: We work with you to select all materials and fixtures – tiles, flooring, cabinets, countertops, accessories down to the door knobs on your cabinetry – before finalizing the quote. This eliminates the need to estimate costs based on allowances, reducing the potential for surprises later.

Thorough Inspections: Before finalizing the quote, we thoroughly inspect your home’s structure, plumbing and HVAC systems, and electrical wiring. This uncovers potential unseen issues that could impact the project scope, cost, and design. By identifying these issues upfront, we can factor them into the quote, avoiding unexpected cost overruns during construction.

Only after we complete all the above-mentioned steps do we provide a fixed-price quote that we guarantee will not change during construction.
