At SOSNA, there are five main steps in our renovation process: consultation, design, quote, construction, and warranty & support.

Step 2 — design — is key, and the most difficult one for the homeowner because of the many decisions that need to be made. The goal of this step is to balance your budget with the vision you have for your home.

In our 20+ years of experience, a well-executed, detailed and thorough design and pre-construction plan amounts to 50% of the success of any remodelling project.

The design step consists of the following 3 elements.

Step 1 - Layout & Selections

We pair you with an in-house designer, who collaborates with you to create the ideal design plan for your home, tailored to your budget and needs. Your designer will assist you in choosing all necessary finishing materials and fixtures to realize your vision.

Step 2 - Forensic Home Inspection

Our construction team, consisting of engineers, specialists, and tradespeople, performs thorough inspections of your home to identify any challenges that might affect your chosen design elements or budget. This proactive approach helps avoid unexpected issues during construction.

Step 3 - Estimate & Scope

We prepare comprehensive drawings, scope of work, materials list, and a construction schedule, and gather quotes from various suppliers. Typically, an investment of 3% to 5% of the initial budget is required from you, which will be credited against construction costs if you proceed with our services.
